Billie Eilish took over at Lollapalooza in Chicago last year during a daytime slot with her performance being taunted as one of the most shining highlights of the event.
Her much-anticipated debut studio album “When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?” went on to debut at the top of the Billboard 200. To this end then she has been billed as a ticket mover and so appointed the headliner of Summerfest in Milwaukee later this year!
Tickets are available beginning at noon Saturday at the Summerfest box office (200 N. Harbor Drive), by calling (800) 745-3000 or visiting ticketmaster.com. Prices have yet to be announced but include Summerfest admission July 6.
With Eilish’s booking, Summerfest has landed a pop artist who caters to a younger audience for its amphitheater lineup, and the second female headliner, along with Jennifer Lopez playing there July 3.
The eight other confirmed amphitheater shows are: Thomas Rhett with Dustin Lynch and Russell Dickerson, June 26; the Outlaw Music Festival, led by Willie Nelson, June 27; Jason Aldean with Kane Brown and Carly Pearce, June 28;
Bon Iver with Lord Huron and Julien Baker, June 29; Zac Brown Band, June 30; Lionel Richie with Michael McDonald, July 2; The Killers with Death Cab for Cutie, July 5; and Lil Wayne, Snoop Dogg and Schoolboy Q, July 7.
Ozzy Osbourne was booked for July 4, but postponed all tour dates for 2019 following an injury from a fall at his home. He will now headline Summerfest’s amphitheater on July 1, 2020.
The Summerfest grounds stages headliner lineup will be announced at 6 a.m. Tuesday
