Unlike some other superstars, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson wants the world to know that he follows a rigid bathing schedule.
Johnson soon verified that she was accurate and even revealed information about his washing habits when a fan tweeted that he “can’t possibly be one of those smelly” celebs.
The 49-year-old “Jumanji” star answered, “Nope, I’m the polar opposite of a ‘not washing oneself’ celebrity.”
“When I get out of bed, I take a (cold) shower to get my day started. After my workout, I had a warm shower before going to work.”
“Face wash, body wash, exfoliate, and I sing (off key) in the shower after I come home from work,” he said with a soap emoji.
Celebrities ignoring personal hygiene has been a big subject recently, most notably after Jake Gyllenhaal shared his position Thursday.
In an interview with Vanity Fair to promote Prada’s Luna Rossa Ocean fragrance, the 40-year-old star of “Brokeback Mountain” said, “I find bathing to be less and less essential at times.”
According to Gyllenhaal, “good manners and bad breath get you nowhere,” and that “there’s a whole world of not bathing that is also really helpful for skin maintenance, and we naturally clean ourselves.”
Meanwhile, Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard recently revealed that they don’t bathe their two daughters, Lincoln, 8, and Delta, 6, until they “stink.”
In July, Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher confessed that they only bathed their children, Wyatt, 6, and Dimitri, 4, when they could “see the dirt on them.”
