When is Jake Gyllenhaal going to take his next bath? Perhaps the next day.
The SoulCycle devotee despises post-workout baths — and bathing in general.
Gyllenhaal, 40, told Vanity Fair on Thursday that he finds bathing less and less necessary at times, despite the fact that he was advertising Prada’s Luna Rossa Ocean fragrance.
“Because Elvis Costello is so amazing, I feel that excellent manners and terrible breath don’t get you anywhere. So that’s what I do. But I also believe that there is a world of not bathing that is really beneficial to skin care, and that we organically clean ourselves.”
The actor claimed he’s always “baffled” that loofahs are created in nature since they “feel like they’ve been made in a factory, but that’s just not true.”
Gyllenhaal isn’t the first star to open up about their infrequent bathing habits.
Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard admitted to forgetting to bathe their children on Tuesday, with the “Frozen” actress, 41, joking that she waits until Lincoln, 8, and Delta, 6, “stink” before cleaning them.
On “The View,” Bell stated, “once you get a smell, that’s biology’s way of letting you know you need to clean it up.”
Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher, meanwhile, said this month that they only bathed their children, Wyatt, 6, and Dimitri, 4, as babies when they could “see the dirt on them.”
