Jana Duggar was charged with engendering welfare of a child on Sept. 10, according to court records seen by MM.
After pleading not guilty to the accusation, the 31-year-old reality star’s next court hearing has been set for Jan. 10, according to a court clerk in Elm Springs, Ark.
As a “Class A or B misdemeanour” under Arkansas law, Duggar faces jail time, a fine or perhaps both if convicted.
On the heels of Josh Duggar’s guilty verdict on child pornography charges, the former “19 Kids and Counting” star has been charged.
The 33-year-old faces up to 20 years behind bars and fines of up to $250,000 for each count.
Former TLC star Joshua was arrested in April on charges of downloading child pornography, according to a Justice Department statement.
As recently as last week, Josh was accused of sexually assaulting five minor girls, including four of his sisters, in his teens.
The TLC reality show “19 Kids and Counting” was terminated in 2015 after Josh’s first molestation allegations.
The show was renamed “Counting On” by the network after it was cancelled without Josh.
Due to widespread displeasure with Duggar programming in general, the show was terminated early this year.
