Lil Baby and DaBaby added another Billboard Hot 100 entry to their growing resumes when their worlds collided for “Baby” back in July. The Wheezy-produced baby anthem received the cinematic visual treatment on Tuesday (Aug. 13), which found the dynamic duo in a precarious situation.
The Daps-directed clip takes place in Miami Beach, with Lil Baby struggling through another day hustling in the kitchen of a local restaurant.
After taking directions from his boss again, he decides to take up a patron on a new job offer as a drug dealer, and even negotiates room for DaBaby to join the proposition.
Their first exchange couldn’t have gone any worse. An argument breaks out and guns and power tools are drawn, with the beach house situation going awry.
One of their colleagues gets butchered and the Charlotte native looks to be next with his hands tied to the ceiling. That is until Lil Baby busts through the door with a fully loaded shotgun to save the day.
“Baby” served as the lead single from Quality Control’s Quality Control: Control the Streets Volume 2 compilation album releasing Aug. 16. The track currently sits at No. 45 on the Hot 100.
