Megan Thee Stallion Observes Women Are Attacked For Defending Themselves

Megan Thee Stallion has faced her fair share of taunting and trolling since breaking into the mainstream arena years ago.

The Houston rapper was instrumental in ushering in a new wave of twerk-themed Rap anthems, but fame comes with its own set of criticisms.

Things only got worse after Megan claimed Tory Lanez shot her in the foot in July 2020, and as the court date for that case approaches, Megan spoke with Glamour about the criticism she frequently receives.

“The bigger I get, the bigger my platform gets, the more I realise that I’m not the only woman going through what I’m going through, and it doesn’t matter what scale it’s on,” the rapper explained.

“Mine are only public because I am a public figure.”

“I want to bring things to light so other women don’t feel like they have to continue to be silent,” Megan continued, adding that she believes women face more public criticism than men.

“As soon as a woman begins to speak up for herself, she is attacked.” People dislike it when you are strong and speak up for yourself. “I stand by what I’ve said.”

“I’m a rock and a thoroughbred. If I have to set a good example, I will.” Meanwhile, Megan is preparing to graduate from Texas State University next month.
