Music producer Salaam Remi who has worked with musicians including Amy Winehouse, Nas and Fergie says Sony Music owes him at least $750,000 in royalties, according to a new lawsuit.

Remi filed the Manhattan Supreme Court lawsuit Thursday, through his company Boomboxxx LLC, in which he claims that Sony Music Entertainment hasn’t made good on a 2012 contract he signed with them.

And now he is seeking to get company records so he can see exactly how much he’s owed, the court papers say.

Remi’s accountants have been attempting to get Sony’s books to audit them so far with no luck because Remi believes he “has been substantially underpaid,” the suit alleges.

“In short, without [sic] the information requested Plaintiff’s auditors cannot ensure that Boomboxxx has been properly and fully accounted to,” the court documents say.

Sony did not immediately return requests for comment.
