Mally Mall’s Encino, Calif., home was raided by LAPD officers and agents from the California Department of Fish and Wildlife on Wednesday executing two separate warrants against the producer-rapper for potential exotic animal possession and human trafficking charges.

However, Mall’s lawyer, Steve Sadow, told Billboard on Thursday (April 4) that his client wasn’t arrested.

“Mally Mall’s house was searched pursuant to a warrant and he was temporarily detained during that period, which is standard procedure,” Mr. Sadow said via email. “[Mally Mall] was not arrested. He was not charged.”

Initial reports stated that Mall was arrested, but the “Molly” artist told MM that he was never taken into custody. Additional reports also says that the spider monkey seized by the Department of Fish and Wildlife happened to be taken from Swae Lee’s nearby LA residence.

The cotton-top tamarin monkey from the warrant was reportedly not found at Mall’s house, but CBS Los Angeles has been notified that wildlife officials are working to remove a serval wildcat from the residence. Sadow told the Los Angeles Times that Mall has the proper paperwork in line with the state of Nevada to eventually retrieve the cat.

Mally Mall hasn’t been afraid to show off his array of exotic pets on social media over the years.

MM has reached out to LAPD for comment.
