“Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous” host Robin Leach left behind over $300,000 and appointed his stepson to handle all important estate decisions.
According to court documents obtained by The Blast, Robin’s stepson Steven Leach and his attorney John Hannaway asked a judge to be named the head of his estate.
The court docs reveal that Leach first drafted a will back in 1991 and then went on to revise it several times. The final draft was signed in September 2011.
Robin appointed his stepson Steven and lawyer to handle administering his estate and distributing his assets to beneficiaries. The majority of his assets were put into the Robin D. Leach Living Trust.
The listed beneficiaries to the estate are Steven, his lawyer and Robin’s brother Andrew Leach. The docs state the estate “consists of real and personal property with a value which may be in excess of” $300,000.
Robin was specific about what to do with his remains, “I direct that my remains be cremated and the ashes disposed of in whatever manner as you may be determined by my individual Executor(s).”
He left instructions for Steven and his lawyer on how to distribute his assets. They also have the power to make all business decisions following his death.
76-year-old Robin died on August 24, 2018 from complications of a stroke while on vacation. The official cause of death on his death certificate was “cerebral vascular disease.”
Robin had three kids Gregg, Rick and Steven Leach (stepson). He is famous for his television show “Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous” that ran from 1984 to 1995.
