Selena Gomez Calls Fan An ‘Ass’ For Criticizing Her ‘Joke’ About Drinking

Selena Gomez labelled a fan a “ass” for criticising her drinking habits, despite the fact that she had had a kidney transplant years before.

Gomez videotaped herself responding to Dr. Dawn Bantel’s discussion of what it means to be a “heavy” drinker in a TikTok video that was uploaded on Tuesday.

Men who consume 15 or more drinks per week, and women who consume eight or more drinks per week, are considered heavy drinkers, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

While duetting the footage, Gomez anxiously chewed her nails and murmured, “Oh,” as her facial expression darkened and her body language changed.

And you continue to drink excessively as a result of one of your dearest friends donating her kidney to you. “Damn Selena,” someone said on a TikTok video, despite the fact that the singer isn’t even drinking at the time of the video.

“It was a joke, ass,” the star of “Only Murders in the Building” responded angrily.

Her friend Francia Raisa donated a kidney to her in 2017 when difficulties from her lupus diagnosis caused issues. The 29-year-old who also annotated the video to clarify that it was a prank was diagnosed with lupus in 2012.

Although persons who have received a kidney donation are still permitted to consume alcoholic beverages, the National Kidney Foundation recommends that women limit their intake to no more than one drink per day and males limit their intake to one to two drinks per day.

“Heavy drinkers’ kidneys have to work harder,” according to the foundation’s website. “It has been shown that heavy drinking on a regular basis doubles the chance of developing renal disease.”

During her operation, Gomez explained to “Today” that her kidneys had just been removed. The decision had been made, and I did not want to ask anybody else in my life. It was quite tough for me to contemplate asking someone to do anything like that.

She offered and then went ahead and did it.

And, even if you are looking for a volunteer opportunity, it may be quite difficult to discover a fit. I mean, the idea that she was a match, I mean, it’s just incredible! “It’s not true at all.”

She has recently expressed dissatisfaction with “The Good Fight” and Peacock’s “Saved By the Bell” revival, which she believes made fun of her lupus diagnosis and subsequent kidney donation.

The comedian posted on Twitter in August 2020, “I am not sure how making jokes about organ transplant for television series has become a thing, but tragically it has apparently,” she said of the trend.

“I hope that the next time one of these insensitive jokes is proposed in the writer’s room, it is called out immediately and does not make it to TV.”

My fans will always be there for me. “I adore you.”
