TikTok Star Anthony Barajas Dies Days After California Theater Shooting

Anthony Barajas, a TikTok celebrity, died on Saturday, five days after he was shot at a California movie theatre with his date.

Barajas, 19, has been on life support since he and Rylee Goodrich, 18, were shot while watching “The Forever Purge” in Corona, California, on Monday. It was the couple’s first outing together.

The bullet wound to Goodrich’s head killed her instantaneously. Barajas, a TikTok celebrity with over 1 million followers, was hit in the eye with a bullet.

“I want to thank everyone who elevated Anthony in prayer,” his buddy Malik Earnest, a San Diego reporter who had been providing updates for many days, tweeted early Saturday.

“His brain damage were irreversible. Anthony was brought down a ‘honour walk’ on July 30th at 11 p.m., where he would eventually give his organs so that others may live. Please keep his family and friends in your prayers.”

Late Tuesday, Joseph Jimenez, 20, was arrested and charged with the unprovoked attack.

He looked to have no ties to the pair, who were on their first date, according to cops.

David Goodrich, Goodrich’s father, stated his daughter had met Barajas over the Fourth of July holiday.

Before going to watch the latest episode of “The Purge,” Barajas took Goodrich to “her favourite restaurant,” according to the father.

During the film, she emailed her mother, saying that she found the dystopian film to be dull and dumb.

Shortly six tickets were sold for the showing, and the remains of the young couple were discovered only after the show had ended.

It’s unknown how many individuals were at the cinema at the time of the shootings, according to cops.

Witnesses assisted authorities in locating Jimenez, who was apprehended at his house, where police discovered a pistol that matched the calibre of the murder weapon, according to the Corona Police Department.

He also had Goodrich’s wallet, according to TMZ.

As he appeared in court on Friday, Goodrich’s father addressed the suspected shooter.

As he was brought through the courthouse in handcuffs, the grieving father phoned Jimenez numerous times. “Hey, dude, have a look at me! Take a look at me! Dude, take a look at me! That was my…” he began, before breaking down in sobs in the arms of a buddy.

According to the Los Angeles Times, Jimenez was charged with one count of murder and one count of attempted murder by the Riverside County district attorney’s office on Friday.
