At Travis Scott’s deadly Astroworld concert on Friday, several people were frantically performing life-saving efforts on victims in the crowd.
Online videos show at least two people frantically administering CPR to concertgoers who have collapsed at Houston’s NRG Park while Scott continues to play.
Many people can be seen in the crowd of about 50,000 watching as rescuers continue their efforts to save the victims of the tragic concert.
An eighth person was killed in the chaos, including a 14-year-old high school freshman caught in the commotion.
Satterwhite told the media on Saturday that his officers were on the scene and that they had jumped in to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) on several victims.
Satterwhite said that “suddenly we had several people down on the ground experiencing some type of cardiac arrest or some type of medical episode” As a result, we immediately began administering CPR and resuscitating patients.
Just in case some of you didn’t see it. You can clearly see two people desperately try to resuscitate two young adults and or teens during Travis Scott’s festival. The look on these teens faces is heartbreaking. #astroworld pic.twitter.com/9oiegQe1sE
